Remote Therapy for Adults in California

Build a stronger relationship with yourself and the people who matter to you.

You may be doing well on the outside while struggling with overthinking, self-doubt, people-pleasing, boundaries, or relationship patterns that keep leaving you feeling frustrated or disconnected.

Therapy can help you understand these patterns, build greater trust in yourself, and create healthier, more meaningful relationships.

You’ve gotten good at getting through things. But some patterns are harder to leave behind.

Maybe you’re the person others can depend on, but you have a harder time depending on others. You spend a lot of time thinking about what you should have said whether you did something wrong, or how someone else might be feeling.

You may find yourself:

  • Overthinking conversations, decisions, or relationships

  • Doubting yourself and looking to others for reassurance

  • Saying yes when you really want to say no

  • Feeling guilty when you set boundaries or prioritize yourself

  • Avoiding difficult conversations because you don’t want to disappoint someone

  • Taking responsibility for other people’s feelings

  • Repeating relationship patterns you know aren’t working

You might understand some of these patterns already. You may even know where they come from.

But understanding why you do something and knowing how to change it are two different things.

These patterns didn’t come from nowhere.

The way you see yourself and connect with others is often shaped by what you’ve experienced along the way.

Maybe you learned to keep the peace, put other people’s needs before your own, or avoid showing certain emotions. Maybe past relationships taught you to stay guarded, question yourself, or expect rejection. Or maybe you’ve spent so much time being who others needed you to be that you’re no longer sure what you need.

These patterns may have helped you cope, protect yourself, or maintain important relationships at one point in your life. But what once helped you get through difficult experiences can eventually make it harder to trust yourself, feel secure in relationships, and connect with others in the way you want.

Therapy can help you understand where these patterns came from without allowing your past to continue deciding how you live and relate to others today.

What would life look like if you trusted yourself more?

Therapy isn’t just about understanding your past. It’s about helping you make meaningful changes in how you see yourself, respond to difficult emotions, and connect with the people in your life.

Together, we can work toward helping you:

  • Trust yourself without constantly second-guessing your decisions

  • Set healthier boundaries without being overwhelmed by guilt

  • Communicate your needs instead of expecting others to figure them out

  • Navigate conflict without shutting down, avoiding, or becoming overwhelmed

  • Understand and regulate your emotions rather than feeling controlled by them

  • Recognize unhealthy relationship patterns and respond differently

  • Build healthier relationships while staying connected to who you are

The goal isn’t to become a completely different person. It’s to feel more secure in who you are and more intentional about how you show up in your relationships.

Therapy that feels like a conversation, not a clinical appointment.

I’m Jason Astorga, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor providing therapy remotely throughout California.

My approach is collaborative, genuine, and practical. I want therapy to be a space where you can be honest about what you’re experiencing without feeling judged or like you have to say the “right” thing.

We’ll take time to understand the experiences and patterns that shaped you, while also focusing on what you can do differently today. I’ll help you challenge patterns that may be keeping you stuck, better understand yourself, and practice new ways of responding to difficult emotions and relationships.

You don’t have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. We can figure it out together.
